Andrew Garfield has once again denied his involvement in Spider-man: No Way Home.
While we already know that number of familiar will be appearing in the movie, including Alfred Molina Doc Ock and William Dafoe’s Green Goblin, the ultimate fan-pleasing moment will be of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. But in a new interview with Variety, the actor shut down all the rumors about him being involved in the movie. At least, for the third time, he has done this publicly.
“I understand why people are freaking out about the concept of that because I’m a fan as well. You can’t help but imagine scenes and moments of ‘Oh, my God, how f**king cool would it be if they did that?” says Andrew Garfield. “But it’s important for me to say on the record that this is not something I’m aware I am involved in.”
“But I know I’m not going to be able to say anything that will convince anyone that I don’t know what’s happening. No matter what I say, I’m f**ked. It’s either going to be really disappointing for people or it’s going to be really exciting.”
No matter what Garfield is saying, there are signs that are showing their involvement. Alred Molina’s Doc Ock is returning alongside Jamie Foxx’s Electro from Garfield’s own franchise. He added, “I did not get a call. I would have gotten a call by now, that’s all I’m saying. I don’t want to rule anything out. Maybe they want to call me and say like, ‘Hey, people want this.’ Maybe they’re doing a market research thing!”
Spider-Man: No Way Home is releasing on December 17th, 2021.
