Xbox Series X SSD

Xbox Series X and S smaller expansion card was spotted which may open the console’s storage options.

French Xbox news site, Xbox Squad, says it caught word of a new official expansion card on the way. It also shared an image of the store listing for the new card on French gaming retailer Micromania. The image lists the price of the 500GB card as €154.99 which translates to roughly $180. The release date for the expansion card is set for November 14th, 2021. You can check the image below:

These converted prices aren’t less when compared to the standard 1TB Seagate Storage Expansion Card, which currently sells for $220 as its standard price. More options for storage expansion cards is a good thing because right now they’re the only way you can make more room for Xbox Series X games on your console without needing to archive them on an external drive.

You can play the previous generation Xbox games straight from a standard external drive if you prefer, but new-gen Xbox games require faster storage to function. If we assume this is real or legitimate, hopefully, it means we may get an announcement sooner. Microsoft and its partners maybe are working on bigger storage options too.
